The annual Yard Display Contest is once again threatened by the Christmas Phantom but Vera Carp intends to take home the trophy with a gaudy display that features the Wise Men and Shepherds, Bing Crosby, the Grinch Who Stole Christmas and Natalie Wood. She faces stiff competition from Didi Snavely – owner of Didi’s Used Weapons – as well as Inita Goodwin and Helen Bedd – the cowboy-loving Tastee Kreme waitresses.
