PRIS 6th Graders Study the Great Depression and Stock Market
C6 social studies teacher Mr. Phillips introduced Black Tuesday and The Great Depression with a stock market simulation. Learners worked in pairs as bankers and stock traders in 1929- only to realize that the value of a dollar can change very fast in the stock market!
PRIS Robotics Teams Win Big
Pike Road Robotics had a great day at the VEX IQ Slapshot Tournament hosted by Wallace State: Selma Campus! Team Turtles won the Teaneork Champion Award with Penguin Robotics with a tournament alliance high score in the finals of 146. Team Butterfingers won the Excellence Award for an outstanding overall showing at the tournament. And Team cbtbcp won the Design Award by impressing the judges with their bot design. Great job guys!
Pizza Party for Top Selling Class at PRIS
Congratulations to Ms. Mills class for being the top seller for our Butter Braids fundraiser!! We celebrated them with pizza and cupcakes!
