Prattville Christian’s Baseball Team Captains Sign   Scholarships with JUCO Programs

Prattville Christian Academy is proud to announce two more Panthers to sign Letters of Intent to play baseball at the collegiate level. During a dual ceremony last week, Jackson Reed signed with Columbia State Community College in Columbia, Tennessee, and Taylor Lowe signed with Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. Edrick Yelder signed with Alabama State University in a separate ceremony earlier this year.

Both student-athletes anchored the mound during their time on the varsity roster. Jackson Reed and Taylor Lowe were starting pitchers who led the team with stability and dedication to their teammates, their positions, and the sport. According to Tommy Goodson, PCA’s head baseball coach, “the guys were the backbone of the team.”

“All great programs need student-athletes committed to the team and families committed to the program,” said Coach Goodson. “These families are big supporters of what we’re trying to do on and off the field.”

Allen Signs LOI with University of the Cumberlands Making Prattville  Christian History

Prattville Christian Academy is proud to announce that Andrew Allen signed a Letter of Intent to wrestle with the University of the Cumberlands. Allen blazes a new trail for PCA’s wrestling program as the first student-athlete in program history to pursue his passion collegiately. After wrestling at a national tournament in Virginia Beach this past summer, he caught the eye of Patriot recruiters, and the rest is history. The men’s Patriot wrestling program is ranked ninth in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Conference and won the Mid-South Conference North Title just a few months ago.

As the team’s lone senior, Andrew went 36-9 and finished in the top two wrestlers at every tournament during his senior season. He has been an integral part of the program since his seventh-grade year.

Redland Elementary Celebrates Teachers

Redland Elementary has had an amazing staff over the years. We’ve had some great ones leave and some great ones come in! These people in this picture are the originals! We’ve been together since the doors opened in 2009. Now that the dream of the Redland Middle School is a reality, some of us will continue serving the redland community there. While the tears are flowing for this end, we know there is an exciting beginning just around the corner. Big things are coming and we’re all so ready to watch it all unfold!
