Macon East Academy SGA Gives Back in a Big Way

Macon East Academy’s Student Government Association showed their commitment to service with a generous donation to the Heart of Alabama Food Bank during WSFA’s annual 12’s Day of Giving. Together, students collected over 1,000 pounds of food to help families in need this holiday season.
To encourage participation, the SGA turned the drive into a fun competition. High school classes battled to see who could bring in the most canned goods, with the winning class earning Chick-fil-A chicken minis. Lower school students joined in too—anyone who donated at least five cans received a stuffed animal as a reward.
This effort reflects the SGA’s passion for giving back and learning the importance of service. Their leadership inspired the entire school community to come together for a cause that truly makes a difference.

The coaching staff played a huge role in guiding the team and inspiring their players.
Knight Nation came out in full force to support the team, hosting themed nights, tailgates, bounce houses, and more to rally the younger fans and create an unforgettable atmosphere. Congratulations to our Knights and coaches on an incredible season and a historic championship!

PRES Gifted Students Create Pen Pal Partnership

Mrs. Trussell’s C4 PEP friends are taking mentorship and leadership to a whole new level by partnering with Mrs. Etheridge’s C1 learners at PRES to have a pen pal partnership for this school year! Each group of students has been writing to each other and Christmas gifts were made for each other to share. Both groups of students feel so accepted and loved with this partnership. The students radiate joy when they receive mail from their pen pal! What a wonderful way to create lasting friendships. They will never forget these moments! I am attaching a few pictures for you. Thank you for your support for gifted education!

Macon East Cheerleader Performs at Disney World Parade

One of our three UCA All-American cheerleaders, Bella Ann Spires, spent the week in Orlando performing in the Thanksgiving Parade at Disney World!
Bella earned this incredible opportunity through her selection as a UCA All-American—an honor awarded to standout cheerleaders who exemplify exceptional skill, spirit, and leadership. During her week at Disney, she trained with top performers from across the country, made unforgettable memories, and showcased her talents on a national stage.
We are extremely proud of the way Bella represented Knight Nation with enthusiasm and excellence.
